The first stop is Midhope Castle, the real-life Lallybroch home of Jamie Fraser. Next, head to Doune Castle – one of Scotland’s best-preserved medieval castles and the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. It’s also featured in some Winterfell scenes in Game of Thrones, as well as Monty Python’s Holy Grail. You’ll have time to hop off and explore the inside of this epic medieval marvel before continuing on to the next location.

Continue to the Kingdom of Fife, the ancestral home of real Scottish monarchs. Spend time for lunch in Culross, the fictional village of ‘Cranesmuir’ where Claire is accused of witchcraft. This quaint village is the most complete example of a 17th- and 18th-century burgh in Scotland today.

On-site usage

Meet your guide at the designated meeting point and check-in 15 minutes prior to the departure
It’s recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure
The guide will display the time that the bus departs on a large clock that will be visible
The bus will depart on time

After your visit

On the dates where Midhope is closed, customers will visit Linlithgow Palace in its place (external view only). The rest of the tour will remain the same.
