Featuring an imposing entranceway and rooms literally fit for a king, this royal palace is located less than an hour from the center of Madrid. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001, the Palace of Aranjuez is one of the most spectacular palaces in the country.

Built by Felipe II, its interior is pure enchantment, but the exterior – framed by gorgeous gardens on the banks of the Tagus River – makes it one of the most awe-inspiring royal sights in Spain.
