Visit the two main islands on the scenic Chiemsee lake: Herreninsel and Frauenchiemsee (often called Fraueninsel). These idyllic islands are famous for their religious history, and the imposing New Palace found on Herreninsel – inspired by the iconic Palace of Versailles.
